Sliders was a fantastic show, I loved watching that when it was on the sci-fi channel back in the day.

Welcome to the SciFi Rewind: Serenity

Serenity is a 2005 American space western film written and directed byJoss Whedon. It is a continuation of Whedon's short-lived 2002 Fox science fiction television series Firefly and stars the same cast, taking place after the events of the final episode. Set in 2517, Serenity is the story of the captain and crew of Serenity, a "Firefly-class" spaceship. The captain and first mate are veterans of the Unification War, having fought on the losing side. Their lives of petty crime are interrupted by a psychic passenger who harbors a dangerous secret. The film was released in North America on September 30, 2005 byUniversal Pictures. It received generally positive reviews and was #2 during its opening weekend but it did not make back its budget until its home media release. Serenity won numerous awards, including the 2006 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.

Michael C. Dougherty is a producer and director, known for Browncoats: Redemption(2010), Z*Con: Proof of Concept Film (2013) and Z*Con. He is married to Kelly Dougherty.

Colin Ferguson

IMG_9195Colin Ferguson (born July 22, 1972) is a Canadian film and television actor, director, and producer, best known as Sheriff Jack Carter on Syfy's Eureka and as Lewis on Then Came You, and his role as the latest Maytag Repairman. He can currently be seen on Haven and The Vampire Diaries.

Early life

He was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, and is a graduate of Appleby College and McGill University. Since he was born and raised around Montreal which predominantly speaks French, he is bilingual speaking both French and English. Although he was born in Canada and therefore a Canadian citizen, he is also a citizen of the United Kingdom, and recently became a naturalized citizen of the United States.

Career

IMG_9188On September 5, 2011, he appeared on the podcast Disasterpiece Theatre to discuss what Eureka might have looked like if it had been directed by Michael Bay. In January 2014, Ferguson became the newest "Maytag Repairman". Ferguson is a Montreal Canadiens fan, and he contributes to NHL.com as a celebrity blogger.

Jay Smith

Jay Smith is the creator and executive producer for the Parsec Award-winning audio drama series HG World. Since 2009, Jay and his company of players and producers have been telling the story of survivors in the middle of a global zombie uprising. Now in its third season, this "satellite" production has featured dozens of actors across four continents making it a production truly on a global scale. Since its debut, episodes of HG World and its spin-off series, the Parsec finalist The Diary of Jill Woodbine and The Googies have been downloaded close to a million times.

Eddie McClintock

McClintock was born in North Canton, Ohio, the son of Theodore “Ted” McClintock. He married Lynn Sanchez in 2005, and they have two sons, Jack and Max. McClintock graduated with a degree in communications from Wright State University in Dayton and also studied design in college. In 2007, he designed the album artwork for "V is for Vagina" and currently sells some of his artwork on his personal website. A wrestler and later a production assistant, he subsequently took up acting and was nearly 30 before he appeared in major roles.

Career

To date, McClintock has appeared in ten pilots, starred in five network series, worked on several TV movies, and made well over 45 guest appearanceson more than 25 different shows. He was a cast member on the television sitcom Stark Raving Mad from 1999 to 2000 with Tony Shalhoub and Neil Patrick Harris, which won the People’s Choice Award  but later was cancelled. In 2006, he appeared on Desperate Housewives as Frank, the father of Gabrielle and Carlos' adoptive baby. He appeared as Special Agent Tim Sullivan in four episodes of Bones in 2007. He has also guest-starred on Sex and the City, My Boys, Felicity, Friends, Ned and Stacey, Less than Perfect, Better off Ted, The King of Queens and other less-successful television shows like B.S. (Boarding School), A.U.S.A., Crumbs with Fred Savage, and Say Uncle with Teri Hatcher and Ken Olin. He is best known for his role in Syfy's Warehouse 13. BuddyTV ranked him number eight-two on its list of "TV's Sexiest Men of 2011".
